The Textile Buffet

Following the successful debut of The Textile Buffet at the creative market at Impact Hub Berlin, the next workshop will take place on August 23, 2026, at Lilli Mendelssohn’s boutique on Knesebeckstraße in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Centered on the theme “Curated materials. Wearable Details,” this collaboration between Madame Unikat and Tina Steinke is envisioned as a material library and a styling installation in one, a textile treasure hunt where every dish on the table is an invitation. Some visitors arrive with a specific idea in mind, while others simply let themselves be surprised. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory. Materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

Step up to a beautifully curated material buffet filled with fabrics, buttons, ribbons and reclaimed treasures. Choose what catches your eye, experiment with colour and texture, and turn what you find into a personal detail for your clothing, bag or accessories. Pick what speaks to you, or let one of our prompts guide you. You’ll leave with a one-of-one piece made by your own hands, in a space designed to slow you down and reconnect you with the material and the making.
